Patriot Day: Remembering 9/11

The history of any Nation is full of special moments, defining moments, which shape and mold just who that Nation is – what it will become. The history of our America is certainly no exception – our history books are full of such moments – September 11, 2001 is one such “Defining Moment”.

I have produced this 25 Year Anniversary Special to help us answer three important questions:

1) First, what degree of hardship did America endure on/from 9/11?

2) Second, what happened that day?

3) What part has 9/11 played in making our America today? Are we weaker? Stronger? Are we a smarter, better Nation?

My best way to know the answer to these questions is to look back – History is Our Teacher!

Some of what you will hear in this 25-year Anniversary program:

• The stories of some of our first American settlers, what they endured, how they endured? Just what was it about those first Americans that helped to make us the great Nation that we are today? Can we learn from them? Are we even trying to learn from them?
• We’ll look at a few of the “back stories” behind our American Revolution. Anyone who would have bet on the winner of that War would have never picked the Colonists to win – it was impossible! If that is so, how did they win? And after their victory, what did they do with their new Nation? Did they give us a path to follow? Are we following that path today?
• I’ll be telling the story of our flag. Is it true what some say – that it’s just a piece of cloth with nothing for us to draw from in times of trouble? And what part has our flag played in our American history? Should our flag be honored and respected? To what cost?
• And what about God? Was it really that long ago that He was given the Name as the “True Father of Our Nation”? Where was God on 9/11 and what part did He play during that horrible moment to help so many in America?
• What have we learned from 9/11 which we should be using to help our America today?

Finally, my goal in producing this 25 Year Anniversary Special Program is to help us all: To Remember – To Mourn – To Pray

I am a story teller. Since 1998, I have been telling the true stories of our nation and those Americans gone before us.  To say the least, these stories have been well received by Americans, both young and old.  So, here’s where the stories have taken me.  In 1998, I was broadcasting my stories on just one radio station in Washington State.  Today, from Texas 15 years later, these programs are now broadcast through a syndicated radio network to over 400 radio stations all across America, with literally millions of listeners.
